May, 2018 | The INTERNATIONAL CONFEDERATION OF COMPANIES OF AUTHORS AND COMPOSERS (CISAC) has presented a report that indicates that global collection of royalties for copyright, marks a new record in the year 2017 of 9,200 million of euros, where digital revenues on a global scale they have grown by 51% thanks to the greater efficiency of authors’ management societies. This figure represents an increase of 6% over the previous year.
For its part, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI, for its acronym in English) reports in its Global Music Report 2018 that the total income for that same year was 17.300 million of dollars, which represents an increase of 8.1% compared to the previous year.
